Urbex in Berlin

Urbex is the acronym for urban exploration and means the photography of urban decay in lost and wild places like abandoned ruins. Often these buildings are entered illegally. But for some of these places, it is possible to get permission for exploration and photography either by booking an organized tour or by direct contact to the owner. I visited three urbex places near Berlin using the following tour operator: go2know.de.

The abandoned hospital in Beelitz-Heilstätten:

The abandoned chemical plant in Rüdersdorf:

The amusement park ruin Spreepark Plänterwald:

It was an interesting experience but I clearly prefer shooting in nature.

  1. Beautiful pictures. Very nice Boris. I often visit Berlin, but did not know these places.
