National Geographic Publication

A couple of weeks ago I got an email from National Geographic España whether they could use some of my Patagonia images for their travel magazine. Ok, it’s only NG España and only their travel magazine but it’s still cool to be contacted by National Geographic.

Since the tax rules between Spain and Germany are slightly different it was difficult to agree upon a certain form for the invoice. Therefore I made the proposal that my revenue should instead be donated to the Tompkins Conservation Fund, which was happily accepted by NG. The main focus of this conservation fund is the protection of the nature in Patagonia and I think their concept of integrating the local people is very promising.

Two of my images were used both for the printed magazine and for a gallery on their website.
