Stop-over in the Faroe Islands

If you take the ferry from Denmark to Iceland you get a 3-day stop-over in the Faroe Islands which are located north of Scotland and about halfway between Denmark and Iceland.

It was our third trip to the Faroe Islands (always as a stop-over to Iceland). We stayed the three nights at the campground in Sandavágur and visited some of our favorite places like Saksun, Tjörnuvik, Gjógv, and Gasadalur.

On the second evening I did some time-lapse shooting at Gasadalur:

After some shopping on the last day in Tórshavn (CDs from my favorite singer-songwriter from the Faroe Islands: Eivør Pálsdóttir) we had to enter the ferry again and continued our journey to Iceland.
